UHI Shetland brings an immersive seafood virtual reality experience to Family Fun Day. Using the “VR4VET Blue Sector” app, visitors can step into the world of aquaculture and fish processing, exploring salmon feeding systems, fish welfare monitoring, factory processing, and marine site maintenance. A selection of 360-degree videos will also highlight Scotland’s fishing industry, from shellfish harvesting to whitefish processing.
