Science Fair

The public Science Fairs were held on Saturday 10th March 2012 at Caithness Horizons, Thurso and on Sunday, 11th March 2012 at Wick Assembly Rooms.

Guest speakers included Professor Stuart Monro, Scientific Director of Dynamic Earth, Edinburgh, Dr Ian Rae and Dr Peter Schiener from the Scottish Association for Marine Science and Dr Alison McLure of the Institute of Physics.

15 different local organisations contributed displays and exhibits for the Fair, on a range of scientific topics, and local school children, under the direction of David Hunter of Eden Court Creative, performed science-based drama for the assembled audience.
